Software Downloads
The software available for download from this page is our "2008" Production Release
(dated 23 December 2008). (Note that we call this our "Standard 2008"
version, to distinguish it from our new platform "2009-VFP9 Version" which has significant new
enhancements and several new modules, but is currently only being run by a
number of selected "test sites" and will be gradually rolled out to
other users
over the next few months.)

General
You are able to download and install a full working copy of the software. This includes demonstration and live install data for a number of professions.
When you install the software, it will create three shortcuts on your desktop.
One of these accesses the set of demonstration data of your choice. You can use this demo data indefinitely, but are restricted as to the number of records you can add to various
files, and can't change the "licensee name".
The second shortcut accesses your live data. Once you have decided to proceed, you will be able to
enter your own name as the licensee, and use this for 28 days with no restriction on file sizes.
The 28 days should be ample for you to pay for the software and for us to send you your permanent activation keys.
The third shortcut, provides a compressed backup to floppy disk (or zip
drive) for your convenience. (You can delete this if it is not
required, because you have other backup mechanisms. But in such cases
we recommend editing the shortcut to target another hard drive with spare
capacity, and using it as a "second parachute".)
For multi-user (network) sites, there is also a Workstation installation for you to download.
You should install the main software first from the main workstation, then run the workstation install for each
additional workstation. Workstation installs only create two shortcuts
on the desktop. (Just your main workstation gets the
"Backup" shortcut.)
The downloads are all self extracting compressed files. It is sensible to save all downloads to disk
first (to a folder called "\Downloads\Adminsoft" say), and install them from there.
(You can save the download files anywhere you like.) When you run it,
the main install will attempt to create a folder called "\Adminsoft" on your "C: Drive", and install
install into this.
If you wish (e.g. a network installation), you can over-ride this and specify a different drive (or
folder).
In a multi-user environment, you must specify a mapped network drive on your file
server (rather than a "universal network address"). It is
usually sensible to set up your network drive mappings consistently, so that
you use the same drive designation for this on all
workstations.

Normal Downloads
Use this if you have fast Internet access (microwave, cable, optical fibre, ADSL, etc.),
or get reliable connections using a dial-up modem.
For simplicity you may only need to download and install a single file (either
the "Main Professional Practice" installation file, or just "Contact
Management" if you do not need Practice Management functions such as Time &
Billing). Download whichever of these files is appropriate. You may also want to download other components
that are not included in the "Main" file (such as WorkFlow, Creditors, and
the GL).
Note: If you download one or more of these other components, you
should install all the desired modules (beginning with the Main Professional
Practice or Contact management one first) before launching the software for the
first time. If you fail to do this (or decide to download some further
modules later on) it is not a big deal, but you will need to subsequently turn these
later modules on
(see "Tools, Administrator, Active Modules" menu) so that they appear in the
menu structure (i.e. under "Modules").
Smaller Components (Slower Unreliable Internet Connections)
In this section, the download files are split into smaller components, to assist
you if you have a slower modem and encounter difficulties when downloading one big file.
For simplicity of installation, you might try the "Normal Downloads" first, and only run these options here in this section if you are unsuccessful.
This section is also useful if you are interested in modules as possibilities in the longer term.
You can download them for evaluation,
and then turn them off (see "Tools, Administrator" menu in the
software), to hide them until they are required.
Note: You should install all the desired modules before running the
software for the first time. If you fail to do this (or decide to
download some further modules later on), you will need to subsequently turn
the later modules on (see "Tools, Administrator, Active Modules" menu) so
that they appear in the menu structure (see "Modules" menu).
Updates for Existing Users
We have prepared a separate "Download" page for
existing users. This is better suited for updating existing software,
because it has download files specifically for this purpose, and instructions
that are more relevant to this. Click on the following hyperlink if
you are an existing user:
